Sea Us Through is made up of five screen-filling circles and kidney-like shapes that move over them dynamically. In the center of the circles you can see through to an undulating sea, which also creates a movement that leads you into the depth of the image. Striking are the red V-shaped lines that start at the bottom and continue upwards. Dan Zhu thus leads your gaze across the image, connecting different spaces that she opens up in a subtle way. The title Sea Us Through refers to this movement of watching through o the sea that she reveals in the centre of the circles.
