FRANÇOIS DEY, Homage to KM and PhJ, 2021
ca 165 x 45 x 35 cm
François Dey's work is always related to the other. He wants to be involved with the other person, but also to discover what such an interpersonal attitude may generate. In “All and nothing”, Dey brings together five artists whose work appealed strongly to him, so much that he made a copy of each work as a tribute. Not a copy as a clone, but as an interpretation of the work. It makes clear that what the five individual artists have created has been interpreted by François Dey in a sparkling way. The work shown has thus become a distorted mirror of the works. It is his work, but also not his work.
