In the short film Dialogue # 1 (Inge Reisberman & Michiel Keller) two men get to know each other in an unorthodox way. Contact is coded with all kinds of social behavioral instructions, often culture-related. What happens if you don't follow the written and unwritten rules? In Covid-19 times social distancing is the safe standard. Suddenly you see yourself thrown back to the basics of your existence.
The film Dialogue#1 shows almost doglike first contact. The very opposite of social distancing.
Although the film is produced in 2017 the interaction between two people is of all times. The instinctive way we contact and value each other is a needed and shared imprint of human life.
