Mother and Daughter, 2020

My mother is a very conservative Asian woman who’s been focused on being a housewife and a mother. She never drinks or smokes. As she’s getting older, I keep telling her to have fun and enjoy her life for herself but she just keeps taking care of her family and doesn’t seem to know how to have fun. I sometimes imagine what it would be like if she was a badass mother who goes partying with her daughter like the woman in this piece... Maybe in her next life...?
