Plastic Soup Suit, 2018

Plastic Soup Suit is a large-format work in which Charlotte Schleiffert depicts a woman wearing a mask/helmet. On her jacket you see a pile of plastic waste on her pants are two seals that are entangled in nets. The title and portrayal of the environmental damage clearly makes it an activist work. Yet there is also a double layer in the work because the plastic waste is also used as a contemporary motif in the fashionable clothing of the girl.
