Marcel van Eeden regularly draws food, which allows him to use colour. As always he uses a photo from before his year of birth 1965, to appropriate the time he was not existent himself. The title Machine indicates that Marcel van Eeden approaches this concept in his work in an efficient and accurate way. The title also brings a certain amount of alienation with it that is enhanced by representing this vanilla pudding upside down.
