In this sculture , Maartje Korstanje looked for tension between standstill and growth, between preservation and breaking loose. An interaction between man-made parts and apparently naturally 'created' forms. Especially the statue had to be in suspense. The image moves between abstraction and figuration and with this work she would especially like to let the recipient's own imagination run, so that everyone can make their own connection.
