Kabra Blauw lidded vase - decoration Peony, 2025

"In Winti culture, the colors blue and white symbolize the Kabra, the ancestors. Blue represents the West African royal lineage. White symbolizes death and purity. Since the 17th century, Delft Blue has become an inseparable Dutch tradition. What happens when these two traditions come together in one object? Does something like Kabra Blauw emerge?"
