Whilst collecting and researching her mother’s estate, she created a series of works in which personal history, memory and materiality converge.
Letters, diaries and clothing form the material and starting point for these works.
Mirjam Hagoort produced a unique three-part publication
entitled ‘Moedertaal’, in which all these works come together.
At the NAP+ art fair, she is creating a composition on a single wall featuring a selection of works that are also included in the ‘Moedertaal’ publication.
A facsimile edition of ‘Moedertaal’ is available.
This edition consists of 50 numbered copies.
