Ken'ichiro Taniguchi was invited by Sandra Kisters, director Collections and Research in Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen, to make 'Hecomi Drawings', i.e. copies of the places of damages and renovation in the museum. Later these 'silhouettes' will be transferred to yellow pvc sheets. They are being re-placed in the original finding place for a photo. Than they can be used to make finger prints on white paper. In the end the silhouettes will be sawn into many pieces - and with hinges put together again. To make foldable 'Hecomi Sculptures'.
61 Hecomi forms were found. Phoebus Rotterdam intends to produce a map with plan, photos etc. - like the 'Rotterdam Hecomi Map' in 1999.
See here the lovely photos made during the 5 days in Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen. We all enjoyed the marvellous building - even under reconstruction - and the pursuit of 'hecomi' forms - and for Ayako and Ken'ichiro: the copying of these.
