In 2023, in her series "Meadows," Kantanen captures scenes in various European locations: the left over spaces in between housing in villages and on the outskirts of small towns, where nature has been allowed to flourish undisturbed.
“The “Meadow” can be a small-scale landscape where we lose our sense of proportion. The “Meadow” can be a piece of shared memory whose significance dates back to childhood. The “Meadow” can be a stage for a natural event or an event itself.”
