Threads by Margaret Lansink is a metaphorical work about intangible emotional connection. It addresses the present-day longing for human contact and the deepest aspirations for change.
"Searching for an image that would symbolize an extra-ordinary year in our history. A year without a lot of traveling or human interaction as most of us have been confined to our homes. Therefore for this Christmas Edition, I choose an image from my travels where the lines can be seen as the threads of our social fabric and de facto symbol of our (digital) incomplete connection this year. Expressing the hope that is hidden behind these lines, I believe there is a day on the horizon when we will be able to truly embrace each other again."
