'Plinth' sees Pittas appropriating the language of the traditional museum exhibition and monumentality of public art, to create a work that both unravels and underpins these practices. On the plinth is placed a bronze clip, a further nod to public monuments, that holds quotes taken from the news. As such, Pittas creates a stage for the onlooker to interact and engage with the work and the exhibition. First exhibited at SMBA in 2015, the texts on the plinth covered a range of selected questions taken from e-flux, chosen by Pittas.
