Over Panis
The artists at Galerie Panis all have one thing in common: they invent, in the singularity of their approach, what the founder of this Rouen-based gallery since 2024 describes as “the poetry of reality”. It is indeed a vision of contemporary art built up over the course of his previous experiences that Jean-Guillaume Panis now presents.
In this open but selective line, the gallery's ambition is to introduce emerging and established artists to a broad public, making the venue a space for conviviality, dialogue and sharing of the sensory.
As well as participating in national and international art fairs to support its artists, the gallery intends to assert its local roots by establishing partnerships with cultural institutions (Réunion des Musées Métropolitains, FRAC & Amis du FRAC, ESADHaR...), as well as with various creative venues where a new artistic scene is taking shape in Normandy (Le SHED art center, La MAMUT pour les Arts...).
Involving researchers, critics and art historians, the gallery is also keen to develop its policy of online and printed publications, around artists who have already placed their trust in it (Olivier Kosta-Théfaine, Tilt, Sosthène Baran, Samuel François, Céline Le Guillou, David Roth, Claire de Foucauld) and those who will be joining us in the future.
