Hangar invites you to explore contemporary photography through carefully curated exhibitions, a dedicated bookshop, a dynamic program of events, and a vibrant commercial gallery, all located in a 1000 sqm. industrial space in the vibrant Quartier du Châtelain in Brussels.
Our mission is to promote and support both emerging and established artists from Belgium, Europe, and beyond. As an innovative photo art center, we provide an inspiring and experimental space where artists and audiences can connect, exchange, and engage.
As a gallery, Hangar represents artists whose photographic work is firmly rooted in our times. From a wide range of backgrounds, the artists of the gallery dare to shake up the codes of photography, from the conceptual to the documentary, reappropriating the medium and transforming it.
The mission of the gallery is thus to support its artists by offering human and material support for their creation, and to promote their work to a public of amateurs and collectors, by organising exhibitions, taking part in fairs and collaborating on various projects.
