Over Wouters Gallery
Founded as Galerie Waldburger in 2009, in 2014 it evolved into Waldburger Wouters gallery, run by Tim Wouters and Patrick Waldburger, a Belgo-Swiss duo.
Between 2018 and 2022, Waldburger Wouters had a permanent office and project space in Basel, called “bürobasel”, in cooperation with ShanghART Gallery. Waldburger Wouters remains active in Switzerland, keeping a space in Schönried bei Gstaad.
From 2024, the gallery started a new chapter as Wouters Gallery, with Patrick Waldburger retiring from active gallery life and Tim Wouters taking over.
Wouters Gallery builds further on its rich past, and continues to support emerging and pioneering artists.
The gallery program unites diverse international positions and aims at constituting a complex but balanced universe, expressing the diversity of our contemporary society.
