Federica Belli (b. 1998, Mondovì, Italy) is an artist, photographer and writer based in Paris. She received her Bachelor in Economics & Management from Bocconi University (Milan, Italy) and then proceeded to study Contemporary Art and History of Photography at the École du Louvre (Paris, France). Her work introduces new explorations of the perception of ourselves as opposed to the ways we relate to strangers, embracing the themes of vulnerability and adolescence. Belli’s work is characterized by a visual representation of identity and self perception that emphasizes presence, vulnerability and reflection. Informed by the visual cleanliness of her early mentor Oliviero Toscani, she is often inspired by pastoral scenes from her upbringing in the Italian countryside.
Her work, awarded with the Sky Arts Master of Photography 2018 prize and the BNL Acquisition Prize 2021, has been exhibited in the most renowned international fairs such as ParisPhoto, Zsona Maco, Photo London and MIA Photo Fair.
