Georgette Hautenne and Albert Rorive, Hauror by their artist name, made a brief appearance in post-war abstract art, producing a series of shared works in the course of the 1950s. Founding members of the Art Abstrait Group in 1952 alongside Jo Delahaut, Georges Collignon, Léopold Plomteux and Pol Bury, they took part in the group's four exhibitions that year in Edinburgh, Ghent, Charleroi and La Louvière. In 1953 and 1954, they still took part in the Salon des Réalités Nouvelles in Paris. They stop their "official" pictorial activities shortly after. Both attended the Brussels Academy from 1951 to 1954 under the aegis of Jacques Moeschal.
