Walead Beshty (born 1976, London, UK) is a Los Angeles-based artist and writer, and has exhibited widely in numerous institutions and galleries around the world:
He curated Picture Industry: A Provisional History of the Technical Image, 1844– 2018 at Luma Arles, Arles, France last year and his work has recently been shown at Tate Modern, London, UK (2018); Akron Art Museum, Akron, OH USA (2018); MCA - Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, Chicago, IL USA (2018); Bündner Kunstmuseum Chur, Chur, Switzerland (2018), The Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden (2015); The Barbican Center, London, UK (2014); Malmö Konsthall, Malmö, Sweden (2011) and Ullens centre for contemporary art, Beijing, China (2011) amongst many others.
