Chaïm Dijkstra (b. 1990, NL) is a visual artist based in Utrecht. For the exhibition A line, a grid, a knot at Galerie Caroline O’Breen, they were invited as a guest artist by Bart Lunenburg. Chaïm Dijkstra studied photography at the HKU and at the Fotovakschool in Amsterdam. Their current practice is based on conceptual colour studies and involves several self-designed technical processes, including colour cameras, colour photography processes and directing projections. These inventions often concern technical restrictions of perception and representation of colour in photography.

The work of Chaïm Dijkstra consists of conceptual colour studies and deploys self-invented technical processes. For their experiments, Dijkstra designs their own colour cameras, colour photography processes and directing projections. These inventions often concern technical restrictions of perception and representation of colour in photography. Dijkstra delves into the history of science, photography and colour philosophy to translate the answer into a physical work of art. In 2019, the work of Chaïm Dijkstra was shown at Venice Biennale as art of a video installation Blurring the Lines at the European Cultural Centre (Venice, IT) and at Espace 15 during Paris Photo 2019 (Paris, FR).
