The NN Group Art Award, an incentive prize for exceptional talent, is presented for the third year in a row at Art Rotterdam art fair. The four nominees are known: Matea Bakula (Lumen Travo Gallery), Harm van den Dorpel (Upstream Gallery), Katja Mater (Martin van Zomeren) and Femmy Otten (Galerie Fons Welters). Just like the laureate of last year, Pauline Curnier Jardin (Ellen de Bruijne Projects), the prize is € 10,000. The work of the nominees can be seen at Art Rotterdam 2019.

NN Group Art Award
All four nominees have received an education in the Netherlands at an art academy or postgraduate art academy. The winner will receive an amount of € 10,000 for further professional development. NN Group also buys work for its own corporate collection from the oeuvre of one of the four nominees. The jury this year consists of: Eelco van der Lingen (conservator Frisian Museum and future director Mondriaan Fund), Liesbeth Willems (curator KRC Collection), Lieneke Hulshof (editor-in-chief Mister Motley), Marcel van Eeden (visual artist) and Els Drummen (curator) NN Group Art Collection).
