On Friday 8 and Saturday 9 September, GalleryViewer and Amsterdam Art invite you to the opening of the new Gallery Season. During this festive weekend, Amsterdam-based galleries will open their doors to the public with their first exhibition of the season. Once again, you can familiarize yourself with the help of an online catalogue, a map, and guided tours. The tours are organised by Amsterdam Art and will start in the galleries this year. The online catalogue, which includes all the exhibited artworks, will go live on GalleryViewer on Saturday 2 September.
Online catalogue
All artworks displayed during the gallery season opening will also be available in the online catalogue on Galleryviewer.com starting from September 2nd. In addition to the option to filter the selection based on price and technique (such as painting or photography), GalleryViewer provides background information about the artists, along with videos, recommendations, and highlights from their body of work.
Gallery tours
Amsterdam Art and GalleryViewer organises various guided tours along the participating galleries. We’ve put together special guided tours for you to join during the festive weekend.

KunstKoop
Collecting art is a beautiful passion, but it can sometimes pose a bit of a large investment in one go. The Dutch government supports galleries and contemporary artists, which is why the KunstKoop-scheme has been created: an interest-free loan from the Mondrian Fund and Santander Consumer Finance. That way, you can pay off a work of art or a design piece at your own pace, sometimes for a few tenners per month. In this way, the art world becomes a bit more accessible.
Opening hours:
Friday 8 September: 17:00 - 21:00 & Saturday 9 September: 12:00 - 18:00
