"Landscape" is the shared source of inspiration for Gerritz, Seeling and Venrooy. All three are in search of the essence of the landscape and their relationship with it. Gerritz attended the art academy in the late 1950s-early 1960s when concept and assembly entered the arts. The line, the horizon is his favorite shape. Seeling's training was in the late 1970's-early 1980's when painting rivaled photography and Marena opted for abstraction. Her perception is concentrated in color, rhythm, brushstrokes and lines. Venrooy did her training late 1990s-early 2000s. In her visual work she brings about interactions between the human body and the environment. In this exhibition by means of a unique form of photographic figuration in abstract work.
