TOBE Gallery has enjoyed close collaboration with MOME University since 2018, featuring several artists who graduated from MOME in our portfolio. Over the years, we have provided a platform for photography MA students to display their work in a commercial gallery, reaching a wider audience than they typically find in academic circles.
Following our vision and the philosophy of the fair, we propose a fresher booth for the 2024 edition of UNSEEN that combines the works of Anna Fabricius, a member of our portfolio and a professor at the university, with those of two recent master's graduates. Anna Gajewszky, recognized and awarded by the BredaPhoto 2024 festival, whose work will serve as a visual link for the audience attending the two events. As a third proposal is the work of Gergely Kováts, who presents meticulously crafted pieces, which he perfected during his 2023 residency at KASK & Conservatorium.
The concept underlying these works revolves around the artists' introspection, analysis, understanding, and codification of their own realities and traumas. Through these pieces, we are provided with the opportunity to delve into a sincere realm of self-evaluation and yearning for life, where the veil of dystopia that often shrouds our daily existence manages to fade away.
Additionally, our goal is to draw attention to the work of emerging talents, allowing young collectors to acquire more accessible pieces.
