Solidified Water (2011) consists of nine wooden poles, all cut from a single tree. Each pole supports a unique glass form. The forms resemble water that has spread through movement before becoming suspended in time. Water is visible both within and through the glass.
The installation brings together three states of matter: wood, glass and water. Water remains liquid, yet appears as form. Glass is solid, yet seems fluid. The wood supports both, while retaining its connection to the tree from which it came.
The repetition of the nine elements creates a rhythm within the space. Each form is distinct, yet together they form a single installation. Solidified Water gives material presence to a fleeting moment: not frozen, but stilled.
