Anna Oudhof founded Studio Aikina in 2023, where she began experimenting with copper and hand-blown glass. Her work is driven by a strong sensitivity to light and natural phenomena, exploring how these elements can be translated into sculptural objects within an interior context.
Working intuitively, her process unfolds through experimentation and trial and error. Rather than following a fixed plan, each piece develops through making, testing and adjusting, allowing the material to play an active role in the outcome.
By combining copper and glass, Oudhof creates works that respond directly to their surroundings. Light is reflected, absorbed and refracted, causing subtle shifts throughout the day. In this way, her work introduces a sense of curiosity into everyday space, revealing moments that might otherwise go unnoticed.
