We are pleased to welcome you to (P)REVIEW, a group exhibition designed to inspire your imagination and challenge the way you engage with art.
As you enter the gallery, you'll encounter a thoughtfully curated selection of works, each with its own story and style, whether by artists represented by the gallery or guest artists. Each piece invites exploration and connection, offering a unique experience.
(P)REVIEW draws inspiration from the concept of relational aesthetics by Nicolas Bourriaud, aiming to push beyond traditional art boundaries. Our focus is not only on the artworks themselves but also on the connections they foster. Much like threads woven together in a tapestry, these pieces come together to create a rich, human experience where every interaction matters.
At the heart of this exhibition is the gallerist's intuition, bringing together seemingly disparate works to form a cohesive whole. Like an artist, the gallerist shapes the artistic landscape with a sharp eye for connections, creating a space where different dimensions coexist and blend through the shared exploration of materials. The exhibition as a whole serves as a bridge-uniting diverse materials, linking individual pieces, and encouraging personalconnections between the artworks and the audience.
This group exhibition is a continuation of our presentation at Art Rotterdam, where we offered a selection of works from our gallery, inviting the public to engage with our artists and their creations. With (P)REVIEW, we aim to build upon this dialogue, this time within the intimate space of Frank Taal Gallery.
Here, the art on our walls is integrated into the very fabric of our gallery, which we hope will provide a safe, inspiring environment for visitors to deepen their exploration and connection with the art.
