Titles are an important part of Nuyten’s artworks. In some cases the ideal conceptual form of the work exists only in the title. Like is the case with the artwork ‘A 0° Globe’ (2013). This is a globe made out of ice which begins to melt as soon as it is exhibited at room temperature. The original form of the globe, at 0°, is only present in the title, not longer in the work. So the viewer needs to use his imagination to imagine this original form, which will not return until the globe is frozen again at the end of the day.
