During quarantine, I have been working on a series of "drawings" which are actually photographs taken along Angeles Crest Highway in the national forest just north of Los Angeles. They are photographs of tire marks where drivers have spun their cars around on turnouts, leaving marks that resemble drawing gestures. The photographs are reworked in photoshop to enhance the formal quality as a gesture "drawing", and finally worked over with charcoal on top of the final print.
