From the series ‘On my doorstep’
A part of Special Edition in a diptych with Untitled II
"These two photos were recently taken in the immediate vicinity of my house. The photo of the crow, and the full moon, a night shot, windless, long exposure time and yet, no movement can be seen in the foliage – total stillness.
Together they form part of a series to which I have regularly added images for a long time, entitled ‘On my doorstep’ – photographs which have been shot in my immediate environment, sometimes just a few meters away from home.
Coincidentally, we have suddenly ended up in this strange corona world, as a result of which time has stopped, as you can say we are supposed to no longer move – a form of stillness too. It is the right time to challenge myself within a radius of just a few meters."
Hans Bol
