Amie Dicke bewerkt beelden met diverse technieken en materialen. Door delen van een beeld weg te halen of te bedekken, geeft haar werk een nieuwe kijk op wat er reeds in datzelfde beeld aanwezig is, maar wat niet eerder opvalt. Dit proces van ont- en verhullen zet Dicke in gang door haar beelden te lijf te gaan met onder andere wijn, inkt, rook, schuurpapier en foundation.

Voor de tentoonstelling Finders Keepers heeft het MacGuffin-magazine meer dan 5000 huishoudelijke voorwerpen uit meer dan 40 collecties bijeengebracht in een grootse parade van alledaagse producten: van scheermessen tot spijkerbroeken en van touwen tot trappen. Finders Keepers verkent verhalen van verzamelaars en hun relatie tot een wereld van objecten. Te zien in Het Nieuwe Instituut van 8 september 2017 tot 11 februari 2018. Amie Dicke en verschillende andere verzamelaars worden geïnterviewd in een reeks videoportretten, die de collecties in hun gebruikelijke omgeving tonen.
