In 2023, Martin Assig decided to return to the basis of his art and made a series of ink drawings in which the human figure is central. The body is rendered as a vulnerable housing of the soul but can also be a fertility goddess with multiple breasts. Thus the spiritual and the sensual are present in the drawings that appear to be fragile but have a strong expressive power.
