The Playtime series is part of the 'About time' project. Here Thijs Linssen makes clocks that address our experience with time and with the clock. The Playtime clocks can best be described as impatient clocks; they jump from moment to moment as quickly as possible, and are then forced to wait until the moment actually arrives. Only to 'tap' to the next moment as quickly as possible. For example, the clock makes a 'jump' of 3.30 min by ticking much faster than normal. To then wait exactly 3.30 min to make another jump of e.g. 2.15 min. The clocks take a maximum jump of 6.30 min.
