Michelle Chang Qin recently graduated from De Ateliers. In her work, she collects and explores various materials to construct places of memory, literature, and fantasy. The Goat Stood Still is inspired by a water ball - the large, inflated plastic balls in which you can enter and move across the water by rolling. Furthermore, she engages with processes and products of labor, and their absence, such as forgotten histories of a collective memory or lost rituals.
