The sculptor Gábor Török, born in Budapest in 1952, is fascinated by space and all the questions it raises. The central theme of his sculptures is movement. He develops flowing shapes and sensual geometries from linear basic bodies. This contradiction, in its apparent impossibility, is inherent in all his objects and is, as it were, the artist's trademark.
Since 2000 he has mainly worked in bronze. Lively, dynamic, full of power and harmony, these sculptures present themselves in the format of compact sculptures. Varied in patina and always produced in small editions, they reflect his comprehensive way of thinking. The titles provide an insight into Török's thinking and evoke associations in the viewer.
Gábor Török's works have been successfully exhibited at home and abroad for decades. Many of his works are in well-known collections. Numerous large-scale sculptures in public space complement his portfolio, which also includes architectural concepts.
