A more extreme form of 'objet trouvé' could be called 'Product art', where an industrial product is combined with an image contributed by an artist, reaching no further than an addition to a tool like an umbrella, a scarf, a Tote bag or for instance a stool. Visual artists have the utensil printed or otherwise mechanically provide it with an image.
The exhibition 'Bare objects, On hold art and Product art' (8 September - 28 October on show at GvG) takes an innovative look at concepts of 'objet trouvé' and 'ready-made'. These are examined in more detail. And described in CUT magazine issue 27 soon to be launched....
In the visual arts, objects can be found that lie between the border of art and being on the edge of art. Or work that is in any case made by artists and has been brought by them into the domain of their professional field in a an unconventional way.
