During a visit to Murano in 2019, William van Esveld wanted to learn how to work with glass because it is such a difficult and challenging material.
He started collaborating with glass blowers in Amsterdam and had his first exhibition at the invitation of Venice Glass Week 2021 in Venice.
The glass objects tell the story of Venice's lagoon and the colors of the North Sea. Small details on the glass illustrate mussels, jellyfish and seaweed.
