In his solo exhibition in AP Wjm Kok showed “White Monochrome Wall Painting” (2018). This monochrome work is invisible and simultaneously is made visible, when one has taken notice of the execution of the concept.
Wjm Kok occupies a special place in Dutch painting. He is one of the very few artists who for decades maintains the monochrome as an important part of his oeuvre, that is in the broadest sense. He uses paint on canvas, but does not shy away from using table tops, tarpaulins or perfume to make monochrome.
