Dick Verdult’s print Very Very Said which, with subtle irony, investigates the state of current reality. In it, a parallel condition emerges through the figure of the clown. He is aware of -and exploits- his capacity for awakening Pathos in the audience, but knows too, through experience, that the smiling people in the front row will be smelling elephant shit soon. This explains the eternal schizophrenia in his make-up.
