My work consists of making sculptures, installations and monumental work in which nature plays a prominent role.
Nature is the material I work with all the possibilities and limitations it has. I’m looking for the limits, often intuitively and experimentally.
In my sculptures and installations I play with the (de)formability of nature.
I influence growth processes and the end result are predetermined forms. My form language consists of archetypal images existing in our mind. I’m getting nature into a dialogue with non-natural data, such as steel, plastic, humor and poetry.
All combinations refer to the cultivation of our nature and our landscape. This cultivation of nature, the question how Nature and Culture relate to each other, is my starting point and source of inspiration.
