Bert Van Rossem's work is characterized by painted tiny squares, textures and geometric constructions.
The result is an abstract image.
For this he is inspired by everyday observations, humanism, science, poetry, feelings and light.
Music plays a central role in his working method. Jazz, world music and classical music by composers such as Bach, Scarlatti and Clementi determine the rhythm and provide influences and atmosphere. Coincidence largely determines the result.
Van Rossem works on panels of different sizes, which do not hide their flaws and determine the drawing correctly.
