In his peculiar installations, Guillaume Bijl reconstructs the clichéd seductiveness of the shop window as a museum installation. He draws inspiration from the day-to-day reality of his surroundings in an effort to explore the dividing wall between the reality of the social and its counterpart in the arts. It makes no difference the "Composition Trouvée" we are exhibiting at Art Rotterdam 2020, where a pyramid-shaped plexiglas structure is filled with surreal reminiscences and tributes to the art history.
