As an artist, Francisca explores the constantly changing relationship between people and their environment. By using accessible materials and recognisable concepts she challenges existing perceptions and encourages people to look more closely and think more deeply about their relationship with their surroundings.
In her work Crystal Clear the starting point is a copper cleaning sponge, an object that is virtually invisible in everyday life. It symbolises labor that is rarely acknowledged or appreciated.
