Work made in 2023 during a residency at B32. The works in this series are based on the studies for the artist book Point Line Plane that was self published by Jo Frenken in 2022.
Emerging from an unpublished research in the early 1980s, ‘Point, Line, Plane’ ties together over four decades of Frenken’s artistic practice. The research forms the basis of an artist’s book built in Riso stencil technique, in 23 colors, which he has been specializing in for the past decade. The book has been made entirely by Frenken’s own hand in a limited edition.
