Moving as a Mountain (Residue), 2026

Eva Spierenburg creates a tangible translation of movement and time through ceramics. The clay’s relief, built up in layers, evokes images of mountains in transformation. The colours – deep blue, rusty brown, and ochre – connect the work to the earth, where forces operate beneath the surface that we do not always see, but can feel.
The abstract, organic design refers to a landscape that slowly shifts, yet leaves its traces behind. The work balances between the strength and fragility of nature, making us aware of the quiet impact of time.
Spierenburg invites us to experience the continuous change of the earth, not as a singular moment, but as a process that endures through the cracks and impressions in the surface. It is a tribute to the invisible, yet undeniable, power of nature.
