François Dey considers the transient and the immaterial as important as the things, the nature, the people as they are concretely around us. For François Dey, for example, a walk with two people is a moment of 'human bonding', especially if the walk takes a few days. The time of being together is a time that is inevitably filled up with a space that recharges itself so to speak. The experience of time is more intense than usual.

When wandering around François Dey hardly feels like he is thinking, he is fine with such moments he looks at as pauses as it is how he creates openings to matters that present themselves. His way of working is an undetermined plan. Because he rarely works alone his method becomes an occasion wherein the role of the audience, author and actors become blurred. The coming together is essential; it is an opportunity to spend time together.
