À propos de RED LAB GALLERY
Red Lab Gallery was founded in 2018 in Milan in the heart of the Solari-Tortona district, a few steps from the MUDEC (Museum of Cultures).
Its mission has always been to work primarily with emerging young artists and Italian and international mid-careers, with the aim of providing a context for experimentation and discussion capable of reaching an ever-widening audience, inviting them to seek art as a time for reflection and discussion.
The gallery focuses on various forms of artistic practice, with particular attention in its early years to the use of the photographic medium, subsequently embracing artists of different backgrounds, generations, and disciplines.
At the beginning of 2021, the gallery inaugurated an additional location in Salento, where it offers an exhibition program of art exhibitions, events, and educational activities, creating a connection with the community and the local landscape.
In 2024, the Salento headquarters opened an adjacent space to offer the opportunity to host artists for residencies and site-specific projects with a strong social content.
Over the past three years, Red Lab Gallery has expanded its operations through the founding of Red Lab Edizioni: a small independent publishing house producing limited-edition editorial content and the new online magazine project TQC– Contemporary Visual Culture, a tool for informing, analyzing, and interpreting the visual arts that draws on the free contributions of historians, art critics, and independent curators.
The Gallery periodically participates in contemporary art fairs in Italy and abroad.
