Inspired by the old painters, photographer Kieke Kurstjens (WKA) revives herbs or weeds which we previously overlooked. Her still lifes are more than just studies of wild nature; they are monuments of mindfulness, tranquillity, and wonder. The fruit of a small, personal act of resistance to the contemporary fixation on growth, functionality, and the individual. This ode to simplicity stimulates subtle encounters between viewer and environment.
