Giuseppe Uncini was an Italian sculptor and painter, renowned for his works in concrete and iron. After his initial experiments, his career took shape at the end of the 1950s with a highly personal, yet analytical, form of research that combined industrial materials such as earth, concrete, and iron. These materials would later give rise to the iconic “Cementarmati.” These works, which challenged the traditional conventions of art, together with his unique and revolutionary approach to materials, left an indelible mark on the artistic landscape of the post-war period. Until his passing in 2008, Uncini continued to work with his unique vision and his constant commitment to innovating his own artistic exploration.
