Sara Bachour is interested in Internet and pop culture phenomena and their impact on people's lives, especially in times perceived as unpredictable and unstable. Through her work she seeks to understand and express her perspective on the imagined emotional experiences of the “the found other”, whether they’re an individual or the traces of their existence revealed in objects, both online and offline. Her background in design contributed to her interest in the dynamics behind how concepts are translated into tangible realities. In her artistic process she uses hyperlinks, chains of associations and craftsmanship to create objects and videos that interweave digital and physical themes.
